About LDE & a brief overview of our business...

LDE Ltd has been successfully implementing and supporting data communications solutions since 1989. It is a private company limited by guarantee, founded in 1988. Its Managing Director has over 25 years experience in all aspects of the industry.

LDE’s prime function is in data communications, notably designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting wide area computer networks. This includes quality and reliability audits, trouble shooting and sourcing hardware and software. We specialise in “difficult” environments- oil depots, quarries and concrete plants.

At present, LDE support over 500 sites, with pro-active 24-hour monitoring. The Network Monitoring Centre is based at head office in Braydon, Wiltshire, and is replicated in the Gatwick Office.

In addition to providing direct services, LDE also works as a consultancy, bringing in freelance sub-contractors as required for individual projects. Overall project management is the responsibility of Julio Wildeboer, the Managing Director, with senior engineers acting as day-to-day project managers.

The Airport Systems Department was established in 1997 to support LDE’s customer base in the airport sector. This division, consisting of a dedicated Airport Customer Support team, is based at Gatwick and offers 24 hour-a-day, 365 days-a-year rapid response support.

In 2000 we acquired the marketing and support rights to Zeta’s Smart range of products. Zeta Communications (the original designers and manufacturers of Smart equipment) decided to concentrate on electronics manufacturing, and approached LDE as their largest resellers to take over the sales and support of their products. LDE have been using the Smart range in their own networks for nearly 15 years and have extensive knowledge of the versatility and capabilities of the products. We also took on one of Zeta’s engineers to compliment our own expertise.

Our customers base includes the oil industry (over 200 oil depots for a number of customers including total Butler, CPL Petroleum, NWF Fuels, and Highland Fuels; Aggregates (300 quarries and concrete plants); the commercial sector (Nationwide); transport (London Buses); telecommunications (BT and Transpac, a subsidiary of France Telecom) and computer companies (Compaq and ICL).

LDE pride themselves that most of their new customers are the result of recommendations from the existing customer base.
